- Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt has filed to officially remove her father Brad Pitt’s surname from her own, following similar actions by her siblings Maddox and Shiloh.
- The name change documents were filed on 28 April, according to documents first obtained by In Touch magazine, and Zahara’s name was read out as Zahara Marley Jolie at her college graduation in May.
- Shiloh was granted a name change on her 18th birthday in 2024, while Maddox's name change was noted in film credits.
- A source close to Pitt told The Independent: “It’s sad to see one parent alienate their children from the other.”
- The family divide stems from a 2016 airplane incident involving Pitt, which led to an FBI investigation into child abuse allegations, from which Pitt was cleared of all charges.
