Liverpool supporters are getting excited about a potential development with regards to the future of Jeremie Frimpong.
The Dutchman has been tipped to join the new Premier League champions in the summer transfer window as a direct replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Alexander-Arnold announced last week that he will leave Liverpool when his contract expires at the end of next month and is widely expected to seal a free transfer to Real Madrid.
Talk of Frimpong to Liverpool has increased in recent days with Sky Germany claiming 'advanced talks' with the Bayer Leverkusen right-back are underway.
Adding more fuel to the fire, on Monday evening the defender’s agent, Jeffrey Lemmert, posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story with a post that read: "We working," followed by an hour glass and rock climbing emoji.
It has left many Liverpool fans speculating that a deal will be done.

As previously reported by Fabrizio Romano, Frimpong has a €40m (£36m) release clause that becomes active in the summer.
If Liverpool choose to activate the clause then judging by previous comments made by the defender, he will not need too much convincing over a switch to Anfield.
Speaking to Ziggo Sport in February 2024, Frimpong said: "Liverpool is a great club with history. That would be great. Who knows what the future will bring."
