Angry Dragon's Den viewers all say that same thing as Edinburgh cafe owners appear on show

In the latest episode of the BBC's Dragon's Den, Edinburgh cafe owners Anushka and James certainly made an impact with people talking about them all over social media.

The couple, who run POP+BARK, will soon bring their most popular dog event, Cockapoo Café, to Edinburgh - and their idea was a hit with investors.

However, despite getting an offer, not everything went to plan with people at home tweeting that they would have been better of just 'slapping' the Dragons.

During the episode, the couple explained how the business venture came to be after their beloved pug has a "huge spinal operation" which made the little four legged friend miss out on vital social interactions.

But the couple decided to design a social experience all across the UK, with the hopes of expanding into America. In the cafes explained visiting dogs, and owners, can benefit from such as personalised treats and Instagrammable opportunities.

They were also praised by Sara Davies for bouncing back after the pandemic with Peter Jones pointing out that many of their answers were directed towards Dragon, Steven Bartlett.

Peter said: "You have come in here knowing that there is one person that can really change your business because you are, at this stage, all wrapped around the social media element of this so I'm not going to make you an offer and say that I'm out" as he wished them luck.

And he was correct with Steven offering them all of the money they asked, £35k but for 20 per cent of the business. Touker Suleyman then also offered them all of the money for 25 per cent.

After having a chat between themselves and agreeing on a 15 per cent drop, Anushka went on to say 10 per cent when asked what figure they had in mind. Stepping in, James said "I don't think anyone is going to do that" before adding: "I think 15 [per cent].

Steven ended up feeling "sad" for the couple. (BBC.)

Things only went south from here however with Steven looking saddened as he said: "I hate what I'm about to say.

"I'm going to say that I'm out. Because I think the offer I gave you is so good. I felt like there is so much in this business that I was going to have to fix, and it's concerning to me that it wasn't clear enough.

"But you guys are amazing and I wish you the best."

After their hopeful Dragon bowed out, Anushka asked him to "reverse" his decision. Her partner James did not look comfortable, however, after Anushka begged Steven to come back. And because of this, it wasn't long before Touker also said he was out after realising they were more keen on another Dragon.

James was not happy. (BBC.)

In response to watching the pitch one said: "Anushka & James #dragonsden pitch was so hard to watch. From two offers to none."

Another added: "Oh life, the dog cafe couple might as well have gone over and slapped Touker across the face #dragonsden."

"Oh dear! I think James and Anushka are going to badly regret what they have done!" wrote a third.

After leaving the building and the Dragons were left alone, many admitted they were "shocked" they didn't opt for Steven's 20 per cent offer with Steven admitting he was "sad."
