Angellica Bell on why she's 'doubtful' about joining Strictly Come Dancing line-up

Angellica Bell has admitted that she would love the challenge of competing on Strictly Come Dancing.

But she is still doubtful that she would actually appear on the hit BBC dance series if asked.

Although the former CBBC presenter, 44, would dare to don her dancing shoes and bust her best moves on the dancefloor, she has to align the challenge with her family life.

Speaking to The Sun about the possibilities of joining the line-up, confident Angellica revealed that while she's a "pretty good dancer", there's something holding her back.

"I like challenges, so who knows?" Angellica said.

"I can’t imagine ever learning steps but I like clubbing and think I’m quite a good dancer. But that doesn’t mean it will translate to Strictly.”

Although she may be up for the highly sought after challenge, Strictly Come Dancing bosses may have a hard time securing her signing.

This is because former Celebrity Masterchef winner Angellica has been forced to turn down various job opportunities in the past in order to put her family first.

The brunette beauty is married to telly-host Michael Underwood and the pair share two young children together.

Angellica insisted that in order to have a happy work-life balance, some scarifies need to made every now and then.

The presenter's main priority right now is the welfare of her two youngsters, and if gruelling dance rehearsals will become between that, then she will not accept the offer.

Angellica explained: "You have to make sacrifices. I don’t have any help. I have my family and we juggle it and so it means sometimes I can’t take a job because Michael will be working that day.

"I have turned down jobs if it doesn’t work around us."

Angellica would be far from the first presenter form The One Show to head to the ballroom with past contestants including the likes of Matt Baker and Alex Jones.

As of now, no names have yet been confirmed for the hotly anticipated 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Rumoured celebs for the line up currently include Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing, Katie Price, Westlife's Mark Feehily and former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt.

The new series of Strictly is expected to launch in October after the BBC confirmed earlier this year the upcoming run would be shorter than usual.

It's expected that the shorter run will mean fewer celebs, while social distancing restrictions will result in a smaller audience and pre-recorded group dances.
