Former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has returned to the scene of a historic club triumph.
The Australian took his new team, Al Nassr, to Lisbon for pre-season preparations and based them at the Estádio Nacional.

This is the stadium where Celtic famously beat Inter Milan 2-1 to win the European Cup in 1967.
Postecoglou left his role as manager of Nottingham Forest for a brief spell away from management, where he worked as a pundit during the World Cup.
He was recently appointed by Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, where he now leads a squad featuring Cristiano Ronaldo and a host of international talent.

Al Nassr are currently training at the Estadio Nacional, which remains steeped in Celtic folklore, as the stage where Jock Stein’s Lisbon Lions became the first British side to lift European football’s most prestigious trophy.
The visit comes at a significant time, with Celtic set to mark the 60th anniversary of that historic triumph during the upcoming season.
Postecoglou enjoyed a successful spell in Glasgow, delivering five trophies across two seasons and restoring the club’s domestic dominance after his arrival in 2021, before moving on to the Premier League.
He is now back in the dugout, preparing Al Nassr for the upcoming campaign.
