Ange Postecoglou has made a surprise return to management after being appointed head coach of Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
The former Celtic and Tottenham boss has signed a lucrative two-year deal with the Riyadh club, where he will take charge of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as Joao Felix, Marcelo Brozovic and Sadio Mane.

Confirmation came via an official club statement, which read: “Mr Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as coach of the first football team at Al-Nassr Club, with a contract extending for two seasons.
“Our best wishes for success to him and his staff in their journey with the Global Club, God willing.”

Postecoglou’s move to the Middle East ends speculation linking him with the Scotland job as a potential successor to Steve Clarke.
The Australian had spent the summer working as a pundit for ITV during the World Cup but now returns to the dugout for the next chapter of his career.
He is also set for a reunion of sorts in the Saudi top flight, where former Celtic counterpart Brendan Rodgers is currently in charge of Al-Qadsiah.
