Ange Postecoglou gets massive Celtic transfer favour from Japan boss as Kyogo plus potential arrivals given January pass

Kyogo Furuhashi and Celtic's potential January arrivals from the J-League WON'T have to join up with their national team in January - despite two being called up to the Samurai Blue squad.

Daizen Maeda of Yokohama F. Marinos and Kawasaki Frontale's Reo Hatate are both wanted by Ange Postecoglou in the coming window.

But in the same month Japan are set to play AFC World Cup qualifiers, against China and Saudi Arabia, plus a friendly versus Uzbekistan in Saitama.

However, manager Hajime Moriyasu has named an all-domestic squad for next month in a massive boost to Parkhead manager Postecoglou.

He faced missing his current and potential Japanese stars for games against Hearts, Dundee United and Motherwell plus the winter training camp in Portugal.

Kyogo will skip the matches as he's now playing outside of Japan and while Maeda and Hatate have been included in the 22-man squad Moriyasu has committed to pulling those players out and replacing them with more J-League stars if they transfer out of Japan, according to The Mainichi.

He said: "I'm really looking forward to managing the Japan team made up of domestic players.

"I want them to show there are still many good players waiting in the wings.

"Hopefully we can make people feel that Japan has more squad depth and got stronger."
