Celtic still have the option of using one or both of their Champions League squad 'wild cards'.
But manager Ange Postecoglou made it clear that won't be happening – in the frank manner fans are becoming accustomed to.
UEFA regulations allow clubs to add two new entries into their official squad list until 11pm the night before a game, which has been published for the Midtjylland fixture with notable absentees including new arrival Liel Abada along with wantaway Kris Ajer and midfielder Olivier Ntcham.
But Postecoglou says no new signings will take either of the two spots for Tuesday night's first leg at Parkhead – lamenting the absence of a "miracle card".
Asked if he intends to make use of the two remaining slots, he responded: "In the next 24 hours?
"Erm, nah. I'd love to but, mate, that's not a wild card. That's a miracle card.
"None of those exist at the moment."
Sitting alongside new skipper Callum McGregor, the captain struggles to contain a chuckle as his deadpan manager makes it abundantly clear there won't be any dramatic arrivals.
“It’s quite evident we need to bring more players in," he continued. "As I explained on Saturday it’s a challenging time.
"It’s not just about signing players. It’s about when they’re actually available for you to play with all the restrictions in place at the moment.
“The squad list we’ve announced is the one that’ll go into this game and this fixture.”
