Andy Robertson believes he could have performed better for Liverpool last season

Andy Robertson was sensational for Liverpool in the 2018/19 season but the left-back still has a desire to improve on his performance.

The Scotland captain raised the standard for full-backs in world football alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold on the opposite flank.

The pair contributed 29 assists between them in all competitions, helped Jurgen Klopp's side achieve the best defensive record in the Premier League with just 22 conceded and, of course, have a Champions League winner's medal to boot.

Let's talk about 6 baby: Liverpool's incredible Champions League Final journey to Madrid

Robertson was instrumental in the Reds' success with his tireless running, excellent defensive work and constant provision as an outlet from the back.

"I think I've been good but I can always be better," the 25-year-old said.

"That's the way I've always worked.

"I'll never praise myself because I think there's always improvement to be made.

"Even when I have a good game, you can still do things better. I've had a good season but I still have a lot of improvement to make and hopefully I can show that in the following seasons."
