Andy Murray 's grandparents received the coronavirus vaccine on the same day it was revealed the tennis star had contracted the virus.
The tennis ace was due to travel down under ahead of the Australian Open, when his positive test for coronavirus halted his plans.
The 33-year-old was set to step on one of the 18 charter flights laid on my the tournament.
The same day his mother Judy took to Twitter to thank the NHS staff in Dunblane Victoria for looking after her parents while they received the vaccine.
She posted a sweet snap of the pair in their masks.
She wrote: "Jabbed. Thank you scientists, NHS and everyone involved at Dunblane’s Victoria Hall who looked after them so efficiently and caringly."
And many took to Judy's Twitter to comment on her post.
One said: "Aw bless Judy. I bumped into your father at Dunblane Museum a few years ago. He very kindly showed me and my tennis mad son around and told a few stories about his own sporting career. I remember him saying how proud he was of you and his grandchildren!"
One fan commented: "That is such good news for them , and a weight off your mind. As an aside pass on our regards to Andy and hope he feels better soon."
Another added: "My lovely parents were jabbed there today too and neither felt a thing! It was all very efficient and they are very thankful to all those on duty today. I have fond memories of Vicy Hall discos back in the 70's!
