Andy Carroll's other half, Billi Mucklow, has had a savage dig at his new beard, just as the Newcastle United striker doctored a picture to put himself high up on a list of the Hottest Celebrity Dads.
The Gateshead -born footballer celebrated Father's Day by posting what he claimed was a screen grab of the list, based on a poll of 4,000 people, which had him in third place, just behind Tom Hardy and Chris Hemsworth.
In his photo, Andy, 31, put himself ahead of David Beckham and James Marsden, when in reality it was Idris Elba who took the bronze medal position in the actual poll by On Buy's Men's Fashion Department.
Posting the mocked up image on Instagram, Andy wrote "Happy Fathers Day Everyone #podium."
But former TOWIE star Billi was quick to rain on his parade, when, referencing his much talked about facial hair, she blasted: "With that beard you wouldn’t even make the top 1000."
Agreeing with Billi, one of Andy's followers wrote: "I thought it was Wolverine coming on the pitch," but it's another star that most people are likening Andy too thanks to his new beard - Geoff from Byker Grove.
Twitter was flooded with reactions as fans took notice of Andy's striking facial hair as he stepped out at St James' Park for the Sheffield United game, with one user remarking: "Nice to see Andy Carroll taking inspiration from Geoff from Byker Grove. Good North East cultural heritage links."
