Andre James finished 2023 with a 74.6 overall grade, ranking ninth among qualified centers. He’ll be just 27 years old for the entire 2024 season and is equally adept in the pass and run games. His presence would allow the Raiders to figure out their holes elsewhere while not sacrificing production along the interior.
James has become a very reliable center in Las Vegas and is still improving. The Raiders don’t have the draft capital or the assets to fill three starting offensive line spots in 2024, so keeping James would be a wise decision.
Some of the best moves in free agency are when teams retain their own players. And that’s what the Raiders should consider here, as they know the player well, and he’s been very successful in Las Vegas.
