TIRUPATI: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will soon inaugurate the Srinivasa Sethu elevated expressway project in Tirupati.
The elevated expressway project is being jointly funded by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and the Tirupati Smart City Corporation Limited.
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams chairman YV Subba Reddy inspected the Srinivasa Sethu expressway in Tirupati on Friday and briefly interacted with the contractors. He asked the contractors to speed up the expressway works as the chief minister will be inaugurating this expressway soon.
Earlier, the TTD chairman traveled on the under construction expressway from Nandi Circle till Srinivasa Circle and inspected the ongoing work enroute.
Speaking to reporters later, Subba Reddy said the works were sped up following a request from the local legislator Bhumana Karunakar Reddy to the CM. "The expressway will be inaugurated soon by the chief minister which will help reduce traffic woes besides providing hassle free travel for devotees", said the TTD chairman.
