Andhra Pradesh CM lays foundation stone for 7-star hotels at Tirupati, Vizag and YSR districts

TIRUPATI: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday, laid the foundation stone for the establishment of Andhra Pradesh's first 7-star hotels to be established by the Oberai group at Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Gandikota in YSR districts.

YS Jagan who took part in the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Oberai's super luxury 7-star hotel at Gandikota in Jammalamadugu assembly segment, later virtually laid the foundation stones for the Oberai hotels to be established at Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.

The chief minister underlined that the moment to position Gandikota touted as the grand canyon of India as a world-class tourist destination has arrived with the Oberai group stepping forward to establish a luxury hotel here.

"Both Gandikota and Kadapa will immensely benefit from this development by positioning themselves in the global tourism map. Apart from Gandikota, the Oberai group will also be establishing their luxury hotels at Tirupati and Visakhapatnam", YS Jagan added.

The chief minister recalled that this is the second big development to take place in the Jammalamadugu assembly constituency.

"Last year, the foundation stone was laid for the establishment of Jindal steel factory here. And today, the foundation stone for a luxury hotel was laid at Gandikota. These progressive developments happening in a quick span of time will provide a plethora of employment opportunities to the local youth besides transforming this region into an industrial and a tourist hub", YS Jagan noted.

Meanwhile, the chief minister stated that a manufacturing unit of Dixon technologies will be inaugurated at the Kopparthi industrial area on Monday. The new industrial unit established by the Dixon group would provide direct employment to 1000 people immediately and to another 1000 people in a month's span after inauguration.

The state government of Andhra Pradesh will also sign a series of agreements with various electronic goods manufacturing companies in the presence of Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday.

Meanwhile, YS Jagan also inaugurated a new municipal complex at his home constituency Pulivendula and reviewed the progress of various development works in the constituency on Sunday.

Deputy chief minister SB Amzath Basha, Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, state tourism minister RK Roja and other elected representatives and officials took part.
