Ander Herrera has sent a special thank you to Manchester United supporters following his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Spanish midfielder joined the French champions on a free transfer on Thursday following the conclusion of his United contract at the end of the season.
Herrera's five year spell at the club came to an end under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the fan favourite was unable to agree to terms on a new contract.
Despite having left the club in controversial circumstances the 29-year-old is still highly regarded by many fans and Herrera received plenty of good luck messages following confirmation of his latest move.
Taking to Instagram the Spaniard thanked United fans for their continued support following his departure from the club.
"Thanks to all United fans that are wishing me the best in my new chapter," Herrera wrote. "You are still supporting me even when I am not at the club anymore, thanks a lot from my heart, I have no words."
Herrera has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with PSG which will keep him at Les Parc de Princes until 2024.
Speaking after his official unveiling on Thursday the Spaniard revealed why a move to the French champions appealed to him.
"Paris Saint-Germain is the greatest club in France," Herrera said.
"I was looking forward to coming to Paris and to wearing those colours. I hope to continue to make history with the club! Joining this club is an amazing feeling.
"I also love the city. Paris is the most beautiful city in the world.
"I promise three things: work, professionalism and passion. I also promise to improve my French because I think that the language is very important for the team’s communication.”
