‘And she brought her Stanley’: Woman hides in boyfriend’s car after getting suspicious. Then she sees who he picks up

Catching your significant other having an affair is a nightmare. One woman says she experienced the nightmare of all nightmare cheating scenarios after sneaking into her boyfriend’s car because he was acting suspicious.

The truth was even more shocking than she could’ve imagined. Now she doesn’t know what to do.

Aria Brooks (@mrss.herr) posted a short clip from when she stowed away in her boyfriend’s car. The TikTok is captioned, “POV: I snuck into the backseat and he picked up a blonde.” In the video, you can see a man behind the wheel and a woman in the passenger seat.

If cheating wasn’t bad enough, in a follow-up post, Brooks reveals that the blonde was her best friend. And she says they were indeed having an affair.

The initial cheating post went massively viral. It has 4.3 million views as of this writing. The second post with the whole story has 351,000 views.

Brooks’ situation is somehow even worse than if she’d just caught her best friend and boyfriend committing the ultimate act of betrayal: She and her boyfriend just moved in together.

“We have a couch coming on Tuesday,” she says in the second post, adding, “I don’t know what to do.”

From moving in to moving on

Brooks says she and her boyfriend had been together for about a year. They recently took the major step of moving in together, selecting a three-bedroom apartment for their new lives as a cohabiting couple.

She quickly noticed that something wasn’t right. Brooks says he kept leaving to get things for the new place. And he was spending more time with his friends than usual.

It didn’t sit right with her, but his explanations seemed to hold up.

“When he actually does come back with a vacuum, it’s like, ‘Hey, what am I supposed to do?” Brooks says.

The suspicions wouldn’t shake, however, so she decided to hide in his backseat when he said he was going to Best Buy to get a MacBook.

Apparently unaware she was hiding in the back, he called Brooks’ best friend over the car’s Bluetooth as he drove. Then he picked up the other woman, she says.

That same day, her friend had said she was busy and couldn’t hang out, which at the time didn’t seem like anything out of the ordinary. Now the brush off took on a sinister light.

Brooks was stunned. She says her boyfriend’s and best friend’s conversation was more like one she’d have with him than that of people who were just friends or acquaintances.

If she had any doubt about what was going on, it vanished when the two got out of the car at Best Buy.

“They’re holding hands. That’s when I’m like what the actual [expletive],” Brooks says.

She decided to follow them into the store. There, she says she saw her best friend kissing her boyfriend’s cheek and the two of them acting like a couple. The pain was intense.

“I want to cry in Best Buy,” she says.

Brooks went to the bathroom to collect herself before confronting them about the cheating.

“I went out and was like, ‘What were you guys doing?'” she says. “…Both of you, how could you do that to me?”

They didn’t answer, she says, so Brooks left. A day later, she was still reeling.

“It’s done. I don’t want to have anything to do with that,” she says, later adding, “I feel like I have no one now.”

As if getting betrayed by the two people she’s closest to isn’t bad enough, now Brooks has to figure out what to do with the brand-new, three-bedroom apartment. Her boyfriend says he still wants to try to live together.

“I don’t know what to do. Like of course, I want to live with him, but I can’t. I can’t,” she says.

Brooks never saw herself as someone who would be in tears on TikTok. Baring her soul to strangers is the least of her worries, though.

“What am I supposed to do with the apartment?” she laments at the end of the post.

‘Well since we’re all here’

Some pointed out that this more than likely wasn’t their first time meeting up, as a top comment with 200,000 likes read, “And she brought her Stanley. This wasn’t their first link.” The woman indeed had a pink Stanley tumbler in the cupholder.

Other viewers offered various suggestions on how Brooks should’ve handled the situation when she caught the two in the car. These ranged from less serious, such as the person who said she should “let out the meanest fart,” to illegal. “Take your shoestring and wrap it around the headrest doesn’t matter which one your choice,” urged one.

Many shared what they might have done in Brooks’ shoes if they caught their significant other cheating.

“I would pop out n say ‘so what we finna do,'” claimed one commenter.

Another vowed, “I fear I’d have not kept quiet n we’d have all met Jesus.”

Regarding the apartment, almost no one thinks Brooks should live with the man who betrayed her.

“Girl do not live w him after this. Even if it’s financially easier,” urged one. “Rent the rooms out! You’ll allow a cycle to start.”

Others suggested she move out and let him deal with the apartment.

A third offered a spiteful alternative.

“Live with him & then bring a different guy to the house so he can feel what u felt!!!” they wrote.

Revenge can be tempting. But Brooks doesn’t seem inclined to take this advice. “That’s messyyyyy,” she replied.

Brooks didn’t immediately respond to a direct message sent via Instagram on Wednesday morning.
