And Just Like That: The best looks from the final season

After six seasons of the original show, two movies and three seasons of the new re-boot, the Sex and the City franchise has come to an end after the final episode of And Just Like That… aired.

The re-boot has been received with mixed reviews – some fans loved Carrie’s world being kept alive, sparking a new era of Gen-Z fans becoming obsessed with her clothes, while others felt the story lines were either too left-afield, such as Miranda’s queer romance with Che Diaz, or that the characters all became watered down versions of themselves.

Whether you loved it or hated it, reported falling ratings from HBO have seen the show come to its final end.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who played the show’s protagonist Carrie Bradshaw, a writer, hopeless romantic and fashion icon, made a heartfelt farewell post to the character on Instagram, captioned: “Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all.”

And just like that, we welcome the end of an era. But before we get too nostalgic and let go of Carrie, here are five of her best fashion pieces and looks from the third and final season of the reboot.

Simone Rocha look

Season 3 episode 1 (HBO)

Carrie wore a romantic sheer Simone Rocha look straight from the SS24 runway to write and send Aidan a postcard in the first episode of the season.

This dress is truly fit for an editorial bride, her sheer corseted dress is stuffed with carnation florals, providing drama and depth to the look.

Mason Margiela orange tabi monster pumps

Season 3 episode 2 (HBO)

Discounting her beloved Manolos, these Marigela orange and pink silk tabi monster pumps are the ultimate Carrie shoe. They feature the famous tabi toes - a split toe resembling a goat hoof, made chic by a hot pink bow. She dons these pumps to deal with a rat infestation in her garden...

Vivienne Westwood silk set

This Vivienne Westwood look is straight from the late designer’s own personal wardrobe which was auctioned last year.

A similar look hit the runway for the Vivienne Westwood SS 2011 gold label collection.

This silk set is gorgeous – the silk tailoring gives it a high sheen and luxe feel, while the darker grey of the skirt keeps the look muted and sophisticated.

Maryam Keyhani hat

Season 3 episode 2 (HBO)

The huge, gingham, puffy hat garnered a lot of hate online for being unfashionable and frumpy, but I say those fans don’t know Carrie at all. We’re talking about a woman who stomps around New York in tutus, sequins and ridiculously impractical heels. And she’s no stranger to a hat.

Although the hat and dress combo is not to my taste, it’s up there as a top look because it embodies Carrie’s style – it’s bold, adventurous and quirky.

Alex Perry crystal embellished dress

Season 3 episode 2 (HBO)

Forget the bandage dress come back, SJP is bringing back the bodycon maxi – with class, style and a bit of tacky chic with diamantes while sporting this Alex Perry dress, paired of course with silver Aquazurra heels.

Mason Margiela denim skirt

Season 3 episode 2 (HBO)

This gathered denim Margiela skirt is Carrie’s take on denim - she won’t be seen in a regular pair of jeans. The structured statement piece is paired with a simple nude long-sleeved Donna Karan top and white Margiela Mary Jane heels.
