Investors are understandably excited about the revenue growth prospects at Nvidia and Palantir.
But some S&P 500 stocks' growth looks even stronger this year.
Analysts predict the revenue of four S&P 500 stocks, including Expand Energy, TKO Group, EQT and KeyCorp, will jump by 60% or more this calendar year, says an Investor's Business Daily analysis of data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and MarketSurge. That's not just the highest revenue growth forecast in the S&P 500. It's also higher than revenue growth seen this year from Nvidia, at 58.2%, and Palantir at 45.2%.
These numbers are all a cut above the rest of the S&P 500. The S&P 500 at large is seen posting 6.2% revenue growth in 2025, says John Butters at FactSet.
And with many S&P 500 companies wrapping up their third quarter, investors will soon have a good idea of how 2025 revenue growth will look.
"Heading into the final weeks of the quarter, analysts and companies have been more optimistic than normal in their earnings outlooks for the third quarter," Butters said.
Big Revenue Gains From Oil Patch
Two of the S&P 500 companies seen putting up the highest revenue growth in 2025 hail from the energy sector. That includes the biggest grower: Expand Energy.
The Oklahoma City-based oil and gas refiner is expected to post 2025 revenue of $9.4 billion. That's up 215% from the previous year's revenue. Stubbornly high oil prices are lifting the sector's top line. The price of a barrel of light oil on the Nymex is $61.85, which is below the highs but also 14% higher than the lows.
Shares, though, don't reflect the full bullishness. The stock only has an RS Rating of 24. And that's despite analysts also calling for 388% growth this year in earnings per share.
Not Just Energy
Revenue growth in the energy sector isn't normally the kind of expansion that gets investors' hearts racing. Much of that's subject to fickle global supply and demand for energy.
There's much more enthusiasm for the expected growth in TKO Group. TKO is the kingpin of wrestling and MMA entertainment for pay-per-view and live events. Analysts think the company's revenue will hit $4.7 billion in 2025, up 67% from 2024. And the chart looks strong. The stock sports an RS Rating of 90 and EPS Rating of 79.
Such stories underscore how there's more growth coming to the S&P 500 than just Nvidia and Palantir.
