Amid another unreal assault, legendary Sachin Tendulkar says, Sunrisers 'would've scored 300, had they batted first'

NEW DELHI: Legendary Sachin Tendulkar was awe-struck with the yet another amazing and unreal batting carnage from the Sunrisers Hyderabad openers as Lucknow Super Giants suffered an embarrassing 10-wicket mauling in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Chasing a modest 166 for victory, Travis Head, who smashed 89*, and fellow left-hander Abhishek Sharma, who hit 75*, tore into the opposition attack to romp home with 10.2 overs to spare at their home in Uppal.

In their dominant win, SRH also pulled off the fastest chase of a 160-plus target en-route, crossing the finishing line in a mere 45 minutes.

As the win propelled SRH to the third position in the standings, Sachin along with other legends of the game and pundits doffed their hat to Head and Abhishek.

SRH now have 14 points from 12 games, while LSG are struggling at the sixth spot with 12 points from the same number of matches.

The result also meant that five-time champions Mumbai Indians, currently ninth with eight points from 12 matches, are out of the play-off race.
