American tourist shares hilarious clip trying Greggs sausage roll for first time

An American tourist has left Brits in stitches after documenting himself trying a few British food staples for the first time including the classic Greggs sausage roll.

David Turek took to TikTok to share his honest reviews of some popular cuisine and it was clear he had a strong favourite as viewers watched his hilarious live reaction to the savoury pastry snack.

The clip shows he 26-year-old's eyes visibly light up as he takes the meat filled pastry out of the bag. As he takes a bite, he exclaims: "Holy s***!, 9.8 out of 10, that's f***ing lovely".

The TikToker who is from Chesapeake, Virginia USA started recording himself eating British food online after seeing vloggers from the UK doing the same thing with American food, the Mirror reports.

So far he has tried a bacon butty, fish and chips and crumpets much to the delight of his British viewers as many responded saying they wish they could re-live the moment they tried these delicious dishes for the first time.

One enthusiastic viewer said: "That is EXACTLY the reaction I was waiting for." Another added: "We're all living our first tastes again through you."

David believes the quality of food is far more impressive than it is across the pond but said while he likes most dishes, he has drawn the line at others.

David also sampled a classic takeaway fish and chips which he described as insanely good (David Turek / SWNS)

He said: "My favourite British food so far, if we're talking strictly British, I would say fish & chips. That meal was absolutely sensational, and I haven't really experienced anything like that in the US."

David was also pleasantly surprised when he tried his first Sunday roast after researching the meal and not having high hopes due to discovering the food would be 'drenched in gravy'.

However, after trying it in a local pub in Wales, he was taken back by the traditional meal.

Despite the student thinking the quality of food is higher than it is in the UK, he has shared some of the 'worst British food' he's eaten that makes him feel 'sick'.

He said: "The worst British food I've eaten has to be between Marmite and Black Pudding.

"I honestly get sick just thinking about it, especially the Marmite."
