Amazon launches £30 Echo Wall CLOCK - and it's perfect for budding chefs

There’s nothing more annoying than burning your dinner after forgetting to set a timer on the oven.

But the days of resorting to a takeaway could be a thing of the past, thanks to Amazon ’s new Echo Wall Clock.

The smart clock connects to the Amazon Echo speaker, and can be used to track multiple alarms and timers.

Built-in LED lights run around the edge of the device, and can display a number of different timers at once.

To set up multiple timers, users can simply say 'Alexa, set a pasta timer for 12 minutes', and 'Alexa, set a steak timer for 10 minutes' (for example). The clock will then announce when each dish is ready!

If cooking isn't for you, thankfully the clock also has several other handy uses, including limiting your kids' screen time, setting timers for work, or even setting timers for HIIT workouts.

The device was first unveiled during Amazon's Echo event in Seattle last September, when the tech giant announced a new range of Echo smart speaker devices as well as several other smart devices which can be linked to Echo smart speakers - including a microwave.

While it's been available in the US since last year, it has now launched in the UK.

The battery-powered device will cost £29.99 and also functions as a traditional clock.
