Amazon is urgently recalling a baby teether toy over suffocation fears.
The online retailer is asking parents and guardians to stop using the "Mushroom Teether Toys for Newborn Babies, Toddlers, Infants, Relieve Sore Gum – BPA-Free Chew Toy" immediately.
A safety issue has been identified with the mushroom head of the soother that can flip around creating a very tight suction.

This could lead to major suffocation risk.
There are around 40 implicated products in the Republic of Ireland.
The affected products were listed on Amazon since 24 September 2021.
People have been asked to contact Amazon through their online account or their other place of purchase for a refund.
