It has been an interesting couple of weeks at Wishaw Golf Club.
Not only was the course record was broken, but two golfers also managed to hit hole in ones.
Long-time club member John Johnston, 68, smashed the course record when he scored an eight under par (-8).
With the course par being a 69, John romped home with a 61, trumping the previous course record of 62 set by Gary Dingwall years ago.
John, who grew up in Cambusnethan, has played at Wishaw since he was eight.
He told Lanarkshire Live : "To say I know the course well would be an understatement, I must have played Wishaw 1000's of times.
"I think I knew when I was playing that I had broken the record. When I finished the game I had thought I had played a 60, but It was a 61.
"You don't blow your own trumpet in golf, so I didn't really celebrate. I actually think my partners that day were more excited than i was."
John's round came with no black marks against it, securing eight birdies during the game.
Club pro, David Park, couldn't believe it when he heard and believes it is a special moment.
He wrote on his blog: "The fact that John is now 68 years old must make this some kind of World Record.
"I want to find out of this is some kind of record outside of Wishaw."
There were also two other huge achievements at the club as two golfers achieved a hole in one.
Steven Hendry managed his hole in one on hole 6, while John Mellon achieved one on hole 6.
