Amanda Owen's husband Clive takes FULL blame for split as he admits to bad behaviour and boozing

Clive Owen has taken the full blame for his split from Amanda Owen, admitting to "ranting and raving and drinking".

The Our Yorkshire Farm stars confirmed their split last year, with it recently being reported that Amanda has now moved on with businessman Robert Davies - who she has known for five years. Robert's fourth wife issued a stark warning to Amanda, calling Robert "charming but ruthless" and warning he "gets bored easily" and claims he's obsessed with fame and fortune.

Amanda's estranged husband Clive appeared on ITV's Lorraine today, where he spoke to stand-in host Christine Lampard about his split from his wife, entirely blaming himself for what happened.

Speaking on the ITV show today, he said: "It's a tough time for Amanda now and I think it's only right because I don't do social media to speak out. We filmed Our Yorkshire Farm, people loved it and it was an opportunity to make something as a family. That was what drove her. It was amazing and very successful but I handled it very badly.

"It was such a change in our lives and I sadly made a right mess of things basically. I had a massive part to play in the relationship ending. A massive part to play. I was ranting and raving and drinking and carrying on. I don't know - jealousy."

He added: "It seemed to eat away at me and I handled it badly and I behaved badly towards her. I should have been supportive ... It's been really upsetting, Amanda's having a tough time at the moment. I just feel I can't sit back. I have to say something in her defence, she's a remarkable woman. We just got to the point where we couldn't be together anymore."

Amanda and Clive confirmed their split last year in a joint statement.

"Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family. Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together, with our number one priority being the happiness and well-being of our children," they said.

Amanda is said to be with a new man, with the pair thought to be "inseparable" from one another, though they have yet to publicly confirm or deny a rumoured romance. The pair have known each other for five years.

A source claimed to The Sun : "Amanda and Robert have known each other many years - long before her split. Now he travels everywhere with her and they’ve become seemingly inseparable."

Robert's fourth wife Jan Coates, 72, issued a warning to Amanda after hearing the news, saying: "He is very charming but he is also very ruthless in the way he treats people. I think he gets bored easily. I can see what's happened. He loves fame and fortune. Once somebody is in love with someone they don't want to know. I would just say be very careful and think about your children."
