A pensioner is at the centre of an urgent police search amid fears he is wandering the streets in his dressing gown.
George Walker, 83, (pictured) has vanished from his home this morning.
Police confirmed the pensioner is believed to be wearing his blue dressing gown.
A spokesman said he has gone missing from his home in Ormskirk today and was last seen around 5am in the Brook Lane area.
Police say they are "very concerned" for his welfare and urging anyone who has seen him to come forward.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We are appealing for information to help find George.
"We would ask anyone who has seen him, or a man matching his description in the Ormskirk area, to come forward."
