Almost 400 jobs created in Greater Manchester as Concentrix wins eight new contracts

Almost 400 jobs are being created across Greater Manchester after business services firm Concentrix won eight new contracts.

The firm said it will now embark on a "massive expansion plan" in the city region, increasing its headcount by over 35% over the coming months with a total of 374 new jobs.

US firm Concentrix is a leading multinational provider specialising in customer engagement and business performance, and has four sites in the area between Salford and Stockport.

Hayley Trow, senior director of service delivery, said: “We are delighted to be bringing so many new employment opportunities to Manchester.

“We are committed to setting ourselves apart as a great employer who truly cares about its staff and the local community and we are looking forward to welcoming more passionate and talented people very soon."

Between the eight contracts, the new jobs will be created in the "next couple of months", spanning several sectors including financial services, utilities and the service industry.

The jobs will include work from home roles, as well as from one of Concentrix‘ Greater Manchester locations.

Concentix is being supported in its recruitment work by MIDAS, Greater Manchester’s inward investment agency as well as receiving further support from all 10 Greater Manchester councils, the National Careers Service and DWP.

Tim Newns, MIDAS chief executive, said at a time when there is significant growth in unemployment, the news was "welcome and positive"

He said: “To secure so many jobs for the city region is extremely positive news at this challenging time.

"It is recognition of the strength of Greater Manchester’s talent pool and it is extremely pleasing to see Concentrix once again put its faith in the city region as a leading location for customer service delivery. We look forward to continuing to support Concentix and congratulate them on these contract wins.”
