Santander is set to shut seven retail banking branches this week, including ones in Brixton and Edgeware Road in London.
The branch on Brixton Road closed today on 11 August and the branch on Edgeware Road is closing today, Tuesday, 12 August.
Santander has also confirmed its Surrey Quays branch will close permanently on November 10.
These closures are part of a larger restructuring plan to close 95 of its 444 branches across the UK, which was announced in March. The bank has already closed 69 branches as part of this plan.
18 additional branches are due to close by the end of the year, but dates have not yet been confirmed.
Santander also plans to remove counter services at three more locations this week in Camberley, Orpington and Rotherham.
Customers will no longer be able to deposit or withdraw coins or large sums of cash at these locations.
Instead of using in-person counter services, cash withdrawals at these branches will have to be made through in-branch ATMs.
These closures come as UK High Streets are taking a hit; in August alone, retailers including Poundland, GAME and New Look are due to close hundreds of brick and mortar sites across the country.
