All iPhone users could save money right away with two-step check on phone

Our iPhones are incredible devices, offering dizzying escapism into music, games and films within the palms of our hands.

These services can be so vast and easily accessible it can be easy to lose track of what you've signed up for. Just forgetting about a few free trials - which then automatically turn into paid subscriptions - can become quite expensive in the long run.

If you're not careful, the bill could amount to hundreds of pounds per year for apps you don't use or even remember you have. Fortunately, it's quite simple to cancel your subscriptions on an iPhone.

It's well worth taking a look as a few minutes could save you from unknowingly wasting money, reports the Mirror.

Here's how to check your subscriptions and how much you pay each month.

  • Unlock your iPhone and hit Settings
  • Tap your profile which you'll find right at the very top of the Settings list
  • Here you’ll see another menu list including the Subscriptions option.
  • Once loaded you’ll now be presented with a full list of services and in-app purchases you subscribe to.
  • If you spot one you don’t use anymore, simply tap it and hit the cancel option.

Even if you cancel a subscription today, you'll still get access to the service until the next billing date.

Another way to save cash if you use a lot of Apple products is to consider switching to an Apple One account. These plans bundle in a number of platforms for a cheaper price.

For example, signing up for the Apple One Individual plan costs £16.95 and saves £7 off the usual price. This plan includes iCloud storage, Apple TV+, Apple Music and Apple Arcade access. There's also this same plan available with family member access for £22.95 - saving £9 per month.

Finally, those wanting the best of everything can sign up for Apple’s Premier plan which adds Apple Fitness+ and Apple News+. This costs £32.95 - that’s a saving of £23 when compared to signing up for each service individually.
