All-Dublin FAI Cup final on cards as Shelbourne and Peamount get home draws

An all-Dublin FAI Cup final is very much a possibility as Peamount United and league leaders Shelbourne were each drawn at home in the semis this evening.

Holders Peamount will play host to Wexford Youths in a replay of the 2018 and 2019 finals, while Shelbourne were drawn at home to Galway, who beat DLR Waves in the quarters.

Both ties are scheduled to take place on the weekend of October 9th and 10th - whether the final will continue at Tallaght Stadium or return to the Aviva is yet to be confirmed.

Shels eked out a narrow 1-0 win over last season's beaten finalists Cork City at Tolka Park on Saturday thanks to a late goal from ex-City striker Saoirse Noonan.

Peamount's route to the final four was more straightforward thanks to second-half strikes from Tiegan Ruddy and Lauryn O'Callaghan.

Peas play host to Shels for their third and final league meeting on Saturday night - Shels are two points clear of the Newcastle side with one more game played.
