All candidates for U.S. House Ohio District 15 Democratic primary complete Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey

Both of the candidates running in the March 19, 2024, Democratic primary for Ohio’s 15th Congressional District — Zerqa Abid (D) and Adam Miller (D) — completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

Here are the candidates’ responses to the question: What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Abid:

  • “Zerqa Abid is the ‘Change’ that Ohio is looking for! She is not a career politician. She is not a lobbyist bought by special interest dollars. She is not a party establishment candidate. She is a grassroots organizer with real knowledge of the challenges faced by everyday Ohioans. She has the will and experience to address those issues.
  • Ohio’s economy needs a boost. It needs someone with solid business experience. Zerqa Abid is a very successful Small Business Owner and an award-winning non-profit leader with solid experience in economic development, job creation and fiscal management.
  • Ohio’s families need help. Zerqa Abid has already helped more than 300,00 Ohioans and has saved thousands of children from hunger, drugs, gangs, violence, human trafficking and more. She has supported safe neighborhoods, created jobs and launched programs to protect and empower youth and their families.”

Miller:

  • “Adam’s life story has given him the insight and understanding to fight for every American. A son of divorce, who grew up with the love and compassion of a single parent, he understands the struggles so many families face. Like many Americans, Adam’s own life has been touched by mental health and addiction. He lost a brother, who fought a lifelong battle with addiction. When he says he wants to end the mental health and addiction crisis, it is not just a campaign slogan, it’s a personal calling to serve.
  • Adam has the professional experience to get the job done. Whether it is fighting for reproductive rights, working on legislation to improve the lives of working Ohioans, assisting veterans and returning service members, or serving his country in uniform, Adam has the experience to be an effective legislator and leader for the people of the 15th district.
  • Adam will work to end the discord and dysfunction in the US House of Representatives. As a state representative, he has introduced more bipartisan legislation than any other member of the Ohio House.”

We ask all federal, state, and local candidates with profiles on Ballotpedia to complete a survey and share what motivates them on political and personal levels. Ask the candidates in your area to fill out the survey.
