Both of the candidates running in the March 5, 2024, Democratic primary for Arkansas House of Representatives District 96 — Horace Charles (D) and Robin Roark (D) — completed Ballotpedia’s Candidate Connection survey. These survey responses allow voters to hear directly from candidates about what motivates them to run for office.

Here are the candidates’ responses to the question: What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Charles:

  • “Your vote can make a difference.
  • You cannot correct what you won’t confront.
  • Don’t spend time wasting time.”

Roark:

  • “I will work for a brighter Arkansas with world-class education for every student in our classroom while giving our teachers back their power to teach our students.
  • I will work of a healthier Arkansas, with improved healthcare, expanded access, and better health outcomes for all Arkansans.
  • I will work for a safer Arkansas with better roads and bridges, clean air and water, less crime in our communities, and safer places to work and live.”

We ask all federal, state, and local candidates with profiles on Ballotpedia to complete a survey and share what motivates them on political and personal levels. Ask the candidates in your area to fill out the survey.
