Alisson Becker receives inaugural goalkeeping award as Ballon d'Or ranking confirmed

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker lifted the inaugural Yachine Trophy at the Ballon d'Or ceremony on Monday evening.

It capped a memorable year for the 27-year-old who won the Champions League during his first campaign in England as well as the Copa America with Brazil.

He was awarded individual accolades in the shape of the UEFA Goalkeeper of the Season and The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper and will now add the Yachine Trophy to his collection and becomes the first man to collect the accolade.

Alisson finished seventh in the full Ballon d'Or rankings behind Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah in fifth.

Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Gini Wijnaldum were in the top 30 while Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk are awaiting their fate at the time of writing.
