Alison Hammond has given an update on her weight loss journey after deciding to take action for health reasons.
The 50-year-old This Morning presenter - who weighed 28-stone at her heaviest - has so far lost an impressive 11 stone.
Hammond’s mother Maria had raised concerns when the TV star was diagnosed pre-diabetic and she chose to address the issue following her parent’s passing in 2020 from lung and liver cancer.
While the current celebrity trend is to turn to weight loss injections, the Great British Bake Off presenter felt that wasn’t for her and opted to shed the pounds the old fashioned way through diet and exercise.
Speaking to Heat, she said: “I've got a personal trainer - she's amazing, she trains me when I can train.

“If I'm working, I don't train, I'll go for a walk. But when I'm at home, I'll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week.”
And when it comes to food, she says she hasn't cut anything out completely and instead focuses on “moderation”.
“I don't deny myself anything, I eat everything, but in moderation,” she added to the publication.
Of her decision not to go down the weight loss jab route, the mum-of-one previously told Good Housekeeping UK: “I think that, for people who need to use them, they're a good thing - but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened.
“So I haven't wanted to use them, but that's not to say I wouldn't in the future, and I certainly wouldn't look down on anyone who did.
“My mum had type 2 diabetes and she was worried for me, so when I then found out that I was pre-diabetic, that was frightening.
“I thought: ‘I have to be an adult about this’. The sweets had to stop – and the fatty foods.”
Things are looking positive elsewhere in her life too.
Hammond is currently loved-up boyfriend David Puttman, 27.
She and the Russian masseur and model went public with their romance in April 2024 when she posted a series of pictures on Instagram.
