The makers of ‘Fukrey’ are all set with the third instalment of the film. While fans are super excited to see the crazy starcast back on screen, they are also a little sad that Ali Fazal won’t be a part of it.
Opening up about the same, Ali issued a statement that read, ‘So Zafar aayega ya nahi? Sab yahi puch rahe hain baar baar.sorry saathiyon, iss baari nahi! Zafar bhai ko kabhi kabhi Guddu bhaiya bhi banna padhta hai. Aur do universes overlap ho jaate hain kabhi kabhi. Once a fukra always a fukra so i am around. . . But I won’t be coming on screen for the third outing of the Fukras, Bholi and Panditji! I would have wanted to be part of it but time and schedules didn’t allow me to. I will be back in the future at some juncture, maybe sooner than you expect. Zafar will be back after a small detour to entertain you guys!’
Talking about Fukrey 3, Varun Sharma had told India Today in August last year that the film is going to be very amusing. According to him, the film is very special for all of them as it was a start for all of them. Now to revisit the same character after so many years again and start off from where they left, have been remarkable for them. He also added that the film is going to be phenomenal and they are very excited about it.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, it will star Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, and Manoj Singh. It is slated to hit the theatres on September 7, 2023.
