Alfredo Morelos 'wants Rangers exit' and is unlikely to play for the club again

Alfredo Morelos appears to have played his last game for Rangers.

The 24-year-old was left out of the Rangers squad for Saturday's 2-0 win against Motherwell, and the previous weekend's 0-0 draw against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena now looks like it may have been his final appearance in a Rangers shirt.

Prior to the Kilmarnock match, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard said: “I’m disappointed the player has had his head turned and doesn’t look himself."

The Scottish Sun today report that Morelos wants to leave and his attitude in training has been unimpressive.

They say Rangers are keen to reopen talks with Lille, who have had bids rejected for the striker.

It was reported earlier this summer that Morelos had agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 side.

Speaking after Saturday's match at Ibrox, Gerrard said: “If I see people who have taken their eye off the ball and are not really hungry to get this football club results, I have to make  decisions and Alfredo made it easy for me.”

Morelos has scored 79 goals in 142 games since being brought to Ibrox by Pedro Caixinha in 2017.
