Alex Trebek had a classic response to James Holzhauer’s ‘two dimes’ wager

James Holzhauer was back on ‘Jeopardy’ Wednesday night because, well, that is apparently his new home where he spends each day whooping opponents, collecting large amounts of cash, and chasing history.

The 34-year-old professional sports gambler, who is now $581,673 behind Ken Jennings who had 72 straight wins, has been having a lot of fun on the show during this incredible run and has seemingly been comfortable in front of the cameras since his first day.

He was really comfortable on Wednesday night’s episode as he landed on a Double Jeopardy question and proceeded to tell Alex Trebek that he’d like to wager “two dimes”, which is gambling speak for $2,000.

But Trebek knew that:

Classic #JeopardyJames. And Classic Trebek.

Spoiler:

James won again as his $71,885 in winnings brought his 25-day total to $1,939,027.
