Alex Jones shares behind the scenes snaps as she films 'emotional' new series

TV presenter Alex Jones is set to host a brand new series for BBC. Called Reunion Hotel, the show will reunite people with someone special from their past.

Produced by Caernarfon-based production company Darlun, the series features stories filled with emotion and warmth as guests reconnect and get the chance to say the things they never got to say. The One Show host will play a central role in welcoming the guests and putting them at ease, but a key part of the series will be its location.

Alex has now appeared to reveal the location is Iscoyd Park as she shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of filming with her 337k followers. The private country house is based on the borders of North Wales and is a popular wedding venue.

Sharing a video clip, including her beautiful surroundings, Alex wrote: "Filming a new series and wanted to give you a little taste of what I’ve been up to. Photos and vids by my wing man/makeup artist extraordinaire @lizbeckettmua." Meanwhile, the Iscoyd Park Instagram account shared the teaser and wrote: "Lovey to have Alex Jones Thomson filming her new series with us."

Reunion Hotel is based on the series Gwesty Aduniad, originally developed and produced for S4C. The six-part series will air on BBC Two in early 2023.

BBC Wales’ Head of Content Commissioning, Nick Andrews says: "The Reunion Hotel is all about reconnecting people with someone significant from their past, a truly emotional experience for all involved. We’re delighted that by working with S4C, we’re able to bring this unique series to a UK-wide audience. This commission with BBC Two will showcase and reflect Wales to audiences across the UK and beyond."
