Alert issued over two popular products sold in Irish shops that could be 'unsafe' for some

An alert has been issued to consumers concerning two types of sauces sold in Ireland over allergen fears.

Donnybrook Fair is warning that two of its balsamic glazes could be unsafe for some consumers.

The products contain sulphites which are not mentioned on the label.

This may make the affected products unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of sulphites or sulphur dioxide.

The alert was issued by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland on Wednesday.

It applies to Donnybrook Fair Sweet Raspberry Balsamic Glaze and Donnybrook Fair Purple Fig Balsamic Glaze.

These have a pack size of 200ml and the warning applies to all batches and all best before dates.
