Aldi Specialbuys cancelled and delayed after shipping delays - full list of affected items

Aldi has apologised after a number of Specialbuys had to be cancelled and delayed due to global shipping disruptions.

The German discount supermarket is best known for its middle aisle Specialbuys, which usually go on sale every Thursday and Sunday each week.

Aldi issued the statement on its website saying it was due to “many reasons” but cited disruptions to shipping.

The statement from Aldi said: “Unfortunately we currently have some products that are delayed.

“This can be for many reasons such as disruptions to global shipping, but we're working hard to get these products available as soon as possible."

Aldi added: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Aldi said it was going all it could to “provide clarity” on its expected availability dates but said these could be subject to change depending on the store and the region.

The news will be a blow to those who were planning to kick off the New Year with some healthy habits as some of the Specialbuys cancelled included an exercise bike, a fitness tracker and a home multi gym.

There are eight Specialbuys which have been cancelled and were previously expected to be available for customers to buy between December 29 2022 and January 2, 2023.

These Specialbuy items include:

  • Wondercore 2 Home Multi-Gym - CANCELLED
  • Thera-P Neck and Shoulder Massager - CANCELLED
  • Crane Exercise Bike - CANCELLED
  • Medion Fitness Tracker - CANCELLED
  • Crane Running Lead - CANCELLED
  • Crane LED Running Vest - CANCELLED
  • Light Grey & Dark Grey Chunky Knit Throw - CANCELLED
  • Grey Crinkle Velvet King Duvet Set - CANCELLED

Aldi’s Specialbuy “Healthy Eating Accessories” was due to be available in stores on January 5 however this has been pushed back with Aldi expecting it to be available from February 19.

The discount retailer advised customers to sign up for its newsletter for the latest updates on Specialbuys.

This is not the first time Aldi has had to apologise for delays to its Specialbuys.

It issued an apology in January of last year citing "delays to global shipping" as the reason for other delays.

It also had to apologise again later in the year when some of its August Specialbuy products faced delays, once again the delays were due to global shipping issues.
