It may only be August, and we might be in the middle of a pandemic, but that doesn't mean we can't think about Christmas.
Well, that's what Aldi thinks anyway, as the supermarket has revealed what we can expect from its Christmas food range for 2020.
Before you start moaning, I want to say something. Yes - for some people it might be a bit early to start thinking about Christmas, and that's fine. You don't have to read any further, and you're welcome to continue lapping up the glorious August rain outside.
But for some people, the idea of Christmas is a welcome break from what's currently happening in the world, and offers some light relief - so let's enjoy it!
Here are some of the best products from Aldi's 2020 Christmas food range, according to the Mirror :
Truffle pigs in blankets
Available in stores from December 10th, these fancy pigs in blankets have been paired with black truffles and truffle oil.
Aldi will also be selling giant-sized pigs in blankets or loaded pigs in blankets.
Loaded mini Yorkshire puddings
Aldi has really gone to town this year when it comes to sides. Once again, it will be selling loaded mini Yorkshire puddings packed with sausage stuffing balls and topped with a pig in blanket.
The mouth-watering treats will be go on sale at Aldi stores from December 19th.
Plum and pink gin pudding
The Specially Selected desserts are hard to beat and this shimmering gold Christmas pudding is really getting us excited for the festive period.
It's made with plums, glacé cherries, vine fruits, damsons and almonds and is soaked in sherry and pink gin.
Available at Aldi from November 1st.
Whisky and gin-infused salmon
For smoked salmon lovers, the supermarket is launching gin or whiskey-infused salmon.
Shoppers will be able to buy both versions from October 26th.
Mince pies
Love them or hate them, it wouldn't be Christmas without mince pies.
This year Aldi will be selling millionaire's mince pies, flavoured crumble mince pies and mini mince pies. They've got us drooling already.
They will be launching on different dates from September to November.
