Aldi fans rushing to buy £6.99 version of popular £46 skincare product

Bargain hunters at Aldi have been left amazed after spotting a product on shelves that's a version of a popular high-end skincare favourite.

The Lacura Cleansing Balm is a replica of the cult favourite Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing balm. While the latter will set you back £46 for 100g, Aldi's budget alternative costs just £6.99 for 90g.

The price saving of £39 has impressed shoppers and inspired them to try it out to see if it's as good as the real thing. According to beauty fans on social media, the Aldi product does the trick at removing makeup and imperfections.

Liverpool Echo reports that a video was shared to TikTok recently by @bethwainwrightt showing her purchase. In the video, she said of the Aldi dupe: "Smelt like the Bobbi Brown face base and the texture is quite similar to the Elemis actually. It’s £6.99 so get to Aldi."

The comments were full of people eager to try it for themselves, with some saying they'd managed to pick it up and were very impressed by the results.

One person said: "I got it before…it’s so good. I’ll be running up to aldi now." While another added: "Your so lucky getting all the dupes from Aldi when I go in they never got anything lol."

A third said: "Omg I got this and thought it smelt like Elemis but it does actually smell like the Bobbi brown I feel like that’s what I was remembering."

The product description says: "Try an alternative luxury way of taking off your make-up with the Lacura Cleansing Balm. The lightweight formula is enriched with moringa oil, shea butter and cocoa butter.

"It transforms from a solid balm into a silky smooth oily texture to remove make-up and dirt leaving your skin deeply cleansed. Implement it into your daily routine to help your skin feel balanced, refreshed and hydrated." It says it is also suitable for all skin types.

This product is unfortunately unavailable to buy online, so check your local Aldi store for your best chance of getting your hands on it.
