Aldi fans go crazy for new Lacura primers that are 90 per cent cheaper than Bobbi Brown

Aldi has launched a new vitamin eye primer that rivals the likes of designer brand Bobbi Brown - but is a whopping 90 per cent cheaper and has received glowing reviews from shoppers and TikTokers. The product has hit shelves following success of last year’s Vitamin Face Primer, which has also returned to stores recently.

The supermarket added its new 15ml Vitabase Eye Primer to its dermatologically tested and cruelty-free Lacura line-up last week and it is up for grabs while stocks last. The primer is a fraction of the price of luxury brand Bobbi Brown's Vitamin Eye Base, costing £37 - while Aldi's 'dupe' will only set shoppers back £4.99, saving £32.01 (89 per cent).

Specially formulated with Vitamin B, Shea Butter and Hyaluronate, the Lacura Vitabase Eye Primer, according to Aldi, effortlessly primes the eyes for smooth makeup application. Its fast-absorbing formula also boosts hydration to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dryness.

The new offering follows the success of last year’s cult 50ml Lacura Vitabase Face Primer, which reportedly sold out in a matter of days. Aldi's 'dupe' has a price tag of just £4.99 - £43.51 (90 per cent) less than Bobbi Brown's Vitamin Face Base.

A description of the face primer reads: "Formulated with Vitamin C, B, E, Shea Butter, Sodium and Hyaluronate, this primer offers an instantly smooth, plump, and hydrated cover. With uplifting aromas of Geranium and Grapefruit Extract, the skin will feel perfectly prepped for makeup."

TikToker Makeupbyalicia, who boasts of 54.2K followers, has praised the face primer saying it makes her skin "look and feel amazing" and that it "smells identical to Bobbi Brown". While fellow social media star Georgia Baiarge, who has 47.7K followers, gushed: "I will never ever use a different primer in my life!"

The two products hit shelves alongside returning fan favourites from Lacura’s five-star rated seasonal makeup line - which were highly praised by beauty experts and shoppers alike following their initial launch last year.

Other beauty products being released by Aldi include Lacura’s fan favourite and five-star rated CC Glowing Serum, Hyaluronic Acid Foundation, Vitamin C Brightening Concealer and Collagen Lip Oil.

The Lacura Collagen Lip Oil (£3.49, 8ml), formulated with Collagen, Vitamin E and Shea Butter, was highly praised by ITV This Morning’s beauty expert, Nadine Baggott. Hailed as "amazing", Nadine described the lip oil as a “beautiful Shea Butter moisturiser” with an incredible price point.

Aldi shopper, MichOfEssex, left a five star review of the product online, writing: “It feels nice going onto my lips and makes them look supple. I wanted to get another few but it’s not available now! Please bring it back! It’s so nice!!!!”

Aldi is also selling Lacura CC Glowing Serum for £4.99 (30ml). A description of the serum reads: "Perk up dull, uneven skin tones with the multipurpose. Formulated with Papain, Rose Extract and Sunflower Oil, this luxe serum delivers hydration, subtle colour correction and a soft-focus effect for visibly brighter looking skin.

"Simply add a few drops to the skin or mix with foundation for a subtle but stunning glow. Those looking to add a rosy hue can opt for the Tulip shade, whilst beauty lovers seeking a sun-kissed look can choose warm Peach."

Another impressed shopper, Jacqui P, wrote: “I absolutely LOVE this CC Serum!! It glides on the skin, leaving a wonderful, dewy glow.”

There is also Aldi's 3-in-1 multi-tasking Lacura Hyaluronic Acid Foundation (£4.99, 35ml). With added Squalene and SPF30, the lightweight, creamy formula is said to boost the skin’s moisture whilst evening out skin tones for a naturally flawless finish. Available in six shades ranging from Fair to Deep.

Of the foundation, reviewer Nichola said: “The best tinted moisturiser I have bought!! My skin looked flawless, I have now run out and need more!! Please bring back!”
