Aldi apologises to customers after SpecialBuys delay

Aldi has issued an apology to customers after confirming more than 40 of its SpecialBuys have been delayed, and some by a month.

Products that were due to go on sale yesterday, are now not expected until early February.

These include kitchenware such as brunch boards, an egg poacher and a cafetiere.

Some baby event items that were due to go on sale on Thursday, January 14, now aren't expected to be available until mid-February. These included Aldi's baby high chair, baby sleeping bags and nursery cot bed. More than 40 SpecialBuy items have been delayed. The items were due to go on sale on January 14, 17, 21, 24 and 28.

In a notice posted on its website, Aldi said: "Unfortunately some Specialbuys may not be available as advertised. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope that these products will be available in store and online very shortly."

Aldi listed the dates the SpecialBuys had been due to go on sale, and the dates they are now expected to be available to shoppers. You can view the full list here.

Aldi stores remain open during the pandemic and people are allowed to go shopping when needing to stock up on essential items.

SpecialBuys can be bought online and in store, with new items available on Thursdays and Sundays.
