Albion Rovers hero David Wilson admits his stunning last-gasp equaliser to keep their unbeaten start to the League Two season intact was a 'hit and hope' with his weaker foot.
The Cliftonhill side looked to be heading for defeat after Stenny struck twice inside six second half minutes to take control of the game after Scott Robert's opener for the hosts.
But in the 90th minute, Wilson stepped up to curl a superb strike with his left-foot into the top corner from the edge of the box to earn a 2-2 draw.
It was no more than Rovers deserved in a hard-fought clash played in torrential conditions and Wilson was happy to soak up the plaudits at the end of the match, as he celebrated with the Rovers fans.
However, he conceded his finish wasn't one he had honed on the training pitch.
The 26-year-old, who joined the club from Stirling Albion in the summer, said: "Robbo played a good ball inside, I just saw the goal and just tried to curl it as good as I could with my left foot.
"It's not one I've pulled off in training or anything because that's my weaker foot, so it was a bit of a hit and hope, but luckily it's gone in and we got a point.
"It was a good feeling celebrating a 90th minute goal, but I wish it was for a 3-2 win instead of a 2-2.
"It was still good to get the draw and that last minute equaliser, but we are disappointed after going 1-0 up.
"We've lost two poor goals from our point of view."
It was Wilson's second goal of the season so far following his move from the Binos, having netted in the 2-2 draw with Hamilton Accies in the Premier Sports Cup group stage.
And he's enjoying his move to Monklands.
The 26-year-old added: "I played against Rovers last season and they did well. It's a good club to be at.
"There's good young players and good experienced players like Ryan Stevenson and Charlie Reilly that can really help the team and I'm enjoying it.
"We want to win every game. The club finished last season on a high last season and we've started well so far, but we'll just take it one game at a time."
After last week's 2-0 win at home to Edinburgh City, Rovers have backed it up with a point as they prepare to go to Elgin City next weekend in their first away game of the campaign.
Brian Reid's side won both of their meetings with the Borough Briggs outfit last season and Wilson said: "We've won the first one and drawn here to keep the unbeaten run going.
"We didn't play that well, so it's always good to pick up points when you are not as good as you usually are.
"We move onto Elgin and that will be a hard game, but I hope we can go up there and win."
