Alan Power outage fear for Kilmarnock as Youssouf Mulumbu return nears

Kilamarnock ace Alan Power will undergo a scan on a hamstring problem this week.

The influential midfielder came off in the second half of the defeat by Rangers after the injury flared up at Ibrox.

The 32-year-old fears he has suffered a pull or a tear and he will have the issue checked out.

The loss of Power for any length of time would a major concern for boss Alex Dyer.

The good news for Kilamrnock is that they have Youssouf Mulumbu back training with the club.

The experienced midfielder has impressed and Dyer is likely to offer him a deal to return.

The issue just now for the Killie boss is that he has spent his budget and he needs to ship players out first. Mo El Makrini is currently back in Holland weighing up an offer.

If he decides to leave that will open up a wage for Dyer to offer Mulumbu.

The Killie boss might hope his board will allow him to do the deal any way, especially if Power’s injury is longer term.
