The air ambulance has been deployed to a two vehicle collision in Co Down this evening.
The emergency services have been called to a two vehicle collision in the North Street area of Newtownards.
Police have cordoned off a section of North Street and are telling motorists to expect delays and avoid the area and find alternative routes.
Witnesses have said they have seen the air ambulance hovering above Newtownards town centre before landing.
It is not yet known if anyone has been injured as result of the collision.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are currently in attendance following a two vehicle road traffic collision at the North Street area of Newtownards this evening.
"Motorists should expect delays in the area and seek alternative main routes for their journey."
