Air ambulance attend incident in Waringstown

A patient has been taken to hospital following an incident in Co Down.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 2:10pm following reports of an incident in the Main Street Area of Waringstown.

An ambulance crew, rapid response paramedic and the charity Air Ambulance were tasked to the scene.

A NIAS spokesperson said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 14:10 on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 following reports of an incident in the Main Street Area, Waringstown.

"NIAS despatched one Ambulance, one Rapid Response Paramedic and the Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board to the scene of the incident.

"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Craigavon Area Hospital by Ambulance."
