Andreas Skov Olsen was a huge flop at Rangers because they were a "long-ball" team last season, according to his new coach in Turkey.
Skov Olsen has completed a loan move to Istanbul Basaksehir from Wolfsburg after Rangers declined to trigger their purchase option for the Dane, after he spent last season on loan at Ibrox.
The 26-year-old failed to live up to his hype after joining in January and only managed seven league starts as Rangers ended the season trophyless under Danny Rohl. He will work under a familiar face in Turkish football, with the club's assistant manager the former boss of Danish side Esbjerg - John Lammers.
And the Dutch coach reckons Rangers' style of football was why he made no impact in Scotland last season. Lammers said: "He played for FC Nordsjaelland while I was manager of Esbjerg and I remember him very clearly. He was a really talented player, and he still is.

"We are a team that wants to play football, and that is something Andreas will enjoy. He comes directly from Rangers, who play with a lot of long balls and in a league with a lot of physical duels. That is not him.
"He is a creative winger who knows how to find a way to the goal. He will fit in well with the team. We press and have an attacking mindset – this is where he can really come into his own when he takes players on one-on-one.
"Hopefully, after last season, he will enjoy playing football again. This is a strong league and Istanbul Basaksehir is a very well-organised club, and everything is professional.
"Andreas will be able to show his qualities on the pitch."
