AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction

A general view of Vitality Stadium - (Getty Images)

Follow live coverage as AFC Bournemouth face Fulham today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Liverpool look to fend off competition from Arsenal, Manchester City and more.

The race for the Champions League places should also be a compelling battle, with a fifth place possible for English teams. Manchester United’s latest rebuild under Ruben Amorim sets expectations high once more after a dismal season last time out.

Meanwhile, it’s Burnley, Leeds United and Sunderland who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

AFC Bournemouth 3 - 1 Fulham FC

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:59

FULL-TIME: BOURNEMOUTH 3-1 FULHAM

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:58

Gannon-Doak gained useful yards for Bournemouth from just inside the Fulham half. He then had the presence of mind to find Semenyo, who scored his second goal of the game.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:57

SEMENYO!!! 3-1! GAME, SET AND MATCH, BOURNEMOUTH! A devastating counter from the hosts! After Fulham fail to keep a corner alive, Kluivert sets Bournemouth on the counter by finding Gannon-Doak. The latter drives towards the area before squaring the ball for the onrushing Semenyo, who fires a fierce first-time finish beyond Leno to seal victory.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:57

Fulham continue to push in the dying moments of this game. A well-timed Diakite intervention stops them in their tracks, albeit at the expense of a corner.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:55

CLOSE! The visitors go in search of an equaliser and Cairney takes aim from the edge of the box. He flashes a shot only whiskers wide of the target, with Petrovic flat-footed.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:52

We are going to play six minutes of additional time at the end of this game. Are Fulham set to lose for the fifth time in the last eight Premier League games in which they have scored first?

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:51

The 70th minute would be the latest Bournemouth have ever fallen behind in a Premier League game they went on to win. The Cherries are a minute, plus stoppages, away from achieving that feat.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:49

After scoring the first goal, Semenyo turns provider, albeit just finding Kluivert who, like himself minutes earlier, netted a wonderful individual goal.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:49

OH MY WORD, KLUIVERT!!! BOURNEMOUTH HAVE TURNED IT AROUND! IT'S 2-1! Kluivert receives the ball in the centre circle and drives towards the Fulham area. After skipping inside Cairney, the Dutchman lets fly with a driven 25-yard strike that bends away from Leno, and into the top corner. The Cherries have come from behind with two magnificent goals.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:49

Fulham look to quickly respond and Traore is immediately involved. His low cross breaks kindly for Cairney, who fires over on the volley. It appeared to take a slight deflection on the way, but the referee signals a goal-kick.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:47

Another attacking change by the visitors sees defender Diop, who is on a yellow card, replaced by Smith Rowe.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:47

Meanwhile, Fulham make two alterations. Traore replaces Iwobi in the first of these.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:46

Changes for both teams coming up. Firstly, Milosavljevic replaces Brooks for Bournemouth.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:44

Bournemouth certainly have their tails up following Semenyo's fifth Premier League goal of the season, and 10th direct goal involvement since the start of May. He ties Erling Haaland for the most during that time. Fulham are having to maintain their concentration levels here.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:43

Having fallen behind in the second half of a Premier League game for the first time in 2025, Bournemouth are back on level terms. The hosts trailed for just eight minutes. Can they now go on and complete the turnaround?

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:40

Truffert claims the assist. The left-back played the ball to Semenyo, who did the rest with aplomb.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:40

SEMENYO!!! 1-1! THAT IS MAGNIFICENT! Receiving the ball on the left flank, Semenyo takes on Castagne and does well to keep the ball in play. The angle is tight, but that does not bother the winger, who slides the ball through Leno's legs at his near post and into the far corner. The hosts are level in spectacular fashion.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:38

Adams also makes way for the hosts, with Christie coming on in his place.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:38

Bournemouth make a double-change as Iraola looks for an equaliser. Defender Senesi is sacrificed in favour of the more attacking Gannon-Doak.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:37

Diop drags back Semenyo to prevent the Bournemouth winger from embarking on a potential counter. The Fulham defender receives a yellow card for his troubles.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:37

Interestingly, Sessegnon has now scored more Premier League goals under Silva (five) than under his other six managers combined (four). He and Fulham will hope it helps them to victory here. The visitors are certainly not resting on their laurels.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:33

We have waited a while, but the deadlock has finally been broken at the Vitality Stadium. Can Fulham now hold on to their lead?

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:31

Chukwueze demonstrated superb awareness and execution in setting up Sessegnon for the game's opening goal.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:31

SESSEGNON!!! 1-0! FULHAM HAVE THE BREAKTHROUGH! It is the visitors who strike first at the Vitality Stadium! Chukwueze, recently on as a substitute, makes an immediate impact. He threads the eye of a needle with a superb throughball to release Sessegnon, who gets there ahead of Petrovic to lift it into the roof of the net.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:28

King is given a breather in the other alteration made by Silva. Kevin is introduced in his place.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:27

Fulham match Bournemouth by making two substitutions of their own. Chukwueze replaces Wilson in the first of these.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:28

Evanilson is on his toes in the box waiting for Brooks' cross. However, the delivery evades the forward, and trickles behind for a goal-kick.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:27

We are still goalless heading towards the final 25 minutes at the Vitality Stadium. Both sides' goal threat has certainly improved since half-time, but who will strike first?

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:22

There is also an alteration further up the field, with Kluivert taking Tavernier's place.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:22

Bournemouth turn to the bench and make a double-change. The first of these sees Jimenez replace Hill.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:23

The visitors continue to ask questions of the Bournemouth defence, and earn a corner. After it is taken short, King attempts a very ambitious shot from a tight angle. It is well off target and endangering the spectators more than the goalkeeper. Bournemouth's fans collectively send a sarcastic cheer echoing around the stadium.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:21

GOOD EFFORT! Fulham attack with Iwobi neatly looping the ball into the path of Wilson. Just inside the box, the Wales winger gets a first-time shot away on the volley, but Petrovic gets down well to push it clear.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:19

NO PENALTY! There did appear to be contact between Diop and Evanilson, but a VAR review rules it was accidental. Play continues with a Fulham throw.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:18

Evanilson wants a penalty after going to ground under a challenge from Diop. The referee is not initially interested in the appeals and play goes on. However, VAR are taking a good look at the incident...

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:17

SAVE! A neatly worked move by the Cherries sees a lofted ball into the box cushioned down for Evanilson. The latter strikes well on the half-volley, and Leno gets down well to save.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:15

Bournemouth continue their promising start to the second half, with Leno forced to punch clear an inswinging corner. It drops for Evanilson on the acrobatic volley, but he cannot steer it inside the post, albeit a defender was blocking his path.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:13

At the age of 22 years and 43 days, Scott is the youngest Englishman to make 50 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth, and the 15th overall.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:10

Semenyo bursts into life for Bournemouth, before his deflected cross drops for Evanilson. The latter's lay-off was intended for Tavernier but rolls for Scott, whose first-time strike ricochets behind for a corner.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:07

We are back under way as Fulham get the second half rolling.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

21:00

Bournemouth and Fulham remain in deadlock at the end of the first half at the Vitality Stadium. Bournemouth made the brighter start to the contest, Adams calling Leno into action with a low drive from the edge of the box, while Semenyo was denied later in the half. Fulham took a while to settle into the contest, but eventually did and enjoyed a few bright ventures deep into their opponents' territory. However, both sides have recorded an xG of just 0.11 so far - the lowest combined tally in the first half of any Premier League game this season - highlighting the need to demonstrate a greater clinical edge and level of creativity in the final third.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:56

With 14 points from their last seven Premier League home games, Bournemouth are favourites to add a further three points to that tally today via Opta's live probability supercomputer, which rates their chances of doing so at 43.9%. Fulham are given a 21.5% chance of claiming a rare win at the Vitality Stadium, with a draw at 34.5%.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:51

HALF-TIME: BOURNEMOUTH 0-0 FULHAM

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:50

Evanilson is sought out by another long ball into the Fulham box. However, his touch lets him down on this occasion, and the ball trickles behind for a goal-kick.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:47

Lukic is gingerly helped towards the edge of the pitch, and will play no further part today. Club captain Cairney is on in his place.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:48

We will play an additional four minutes of stoppage time at the end of this first half. Iwobi drives Fulham forward and drills a low effort towards the target, but straight at Petrovic.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:46

Bournemouth look to push again and Evanilson controls the ball on the edge of the area. However, he is deemed to have done so with his arm by the referee, who awards Fulham a free-kick.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:44

GOOD SAVE! Semenyo unleashes a fierce low drive from a tight angle that Leno can only parry. However, Bassey does just about enough to put off Evanilson, who is eventually flagged offside.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:43

Five minutes of the first half remain at the Vitality Stadium, where the game remains goalless. Can either side break the deadlock before half-time?

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:41

Fulham go in search of that opening goal, with Wilson doing well before digging out a cross to find Cairney. However, the substitute cannot sort his feet out quickly enough, and is eventually penalised for a foul as the chance goes begging.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:40

The form book suggests Fulham may be tentative to push too much here. Following last weekend's defeat at Villa Park, they have now lost four of their last seven Premier League games when scoring first. That is the most by any side since the start of last season.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:37

Thankfully for Bournemouth, it looks like Evanilson is fine to carry on. The hosts will hope his presence boosts their attacking threat here. Each of their last three Premier League goals have been scored from set-pieces.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:34

After Fulham lost a man earlier on, there is concern it may also happen to Bournemouth as Evanilson stayed down following a challenge with Andersen. The forward is holding his ankle and the medical team come onto the pitch to tend ot him. He is moving quite awkwardly as he gets to his feet, but it remains to be seen whether or not he will continue.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:32

It took Fulham a while to settle in this match, but they certainly have now. The visitors are flowing neatly when they attack. Iwobi lines up a shot with his left foot from the edge of the box, but it is blocked.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:30

Fulham know history is against them here. The Cottagers are looking to avoid suffering four successive league away defeats against Bournemouth. Meanwhile, they have only prevailed once in the last eight Premier League meetings between the sides.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:26

The visitors are starting to find their feet in this contest, with more spells of possession. Castagne looks to slip Wilson in behind the Bournemouth defence, but the Wales winger had just strayed offside.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:24

Fulham enjoy a rare venture into Bournemouth territory at the midway point in the first half. It culminates in a corner that is only cleared as far as Cairney, but his volley is always rising.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:23

Bournemouth's early authority on this contest is highlighted by the fact they have enjoyed over 60% of possession. However, it has only yielded an xG of 0.05 thus far, so they must look to be more decisive in the final third.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:21

Semenyo has been a key player for Bournemouth in recent times. Following last week's free-kick against Leeds, he has scored eight Premier League goals since the start of May, a tally only bettered by Erling Haaland and Jarrod Bowen during that time.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:18

Semenyo looks to lead Bournemouth's charge down the left. However, his momentum stalls when he suffers an untimely slip on the wet surface.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:16

Hill is penalised for a foul throw with the referee deeming he stepped over the touchline at the point of release. Not very often you see that nowadays!

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:15

Already without Muniz and Jimenez, Silva cannot hide his concern as Lukic stays down in the Fulham penalty area, seemingly in need of attention. There is an air of resignation on the midfielder's face, as Cairney warms up on the touchline.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:13

GOOD HIT! Fulham are a little sloppy in possession and Bournemouth can smell blood. Adams takes aim from 20 yards with a driven effort towards the bottom corner. It looks like it may just be drifting wide, but Leno takes no chances as he gets down to tip it behind.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:12

The hosts go route one as Senesi finds Evanilson with a superb long ball over the top of the Fulham defence. The forward controls well enough on his chest, but Andersen recovers well to tidy up for the visitors.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:10

Fulham's goalkeeper is also celebrating a landmark today. Indeed, this is his 250th appearance in English football. Can he mark it with a clean sheet?

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:09

Bournemouth attack again with Semenyo lining up a long throw. Twice, Diakite helps the ball into the centre with his head, but Leno punches the second attempt clear.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:06

At the other end, Tavernier switches the play to Truffert, who neatly checks inside Castagne and towards the penalty area. However, Lukic is alert and makes up ground to block his attempted shot.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:04

Iwobi, on his day of his record-equalling appearance, looks to get involved immediately from his central role. However, he is flagged offside.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:01

Simon Hooper is our referee today. He blows his whistle and Bournemouth kicks things off.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

20:01

The teams are out and we are almost ready to go at the Vitality Stadium.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

19:57

Meanwhile, Silva makes just a single change from Fulham's defeat at Aston Villa last time out. Diop comes in and takes his place in defence, with Raul Jimenez dropping out through injury. He joins Kenny Tete and Rodrigo Muniz on the sidelines. Iwobi leads the line in his absence and, in doing so, becomes Nigeria's joint-leading appearance maker in the Premier League, moving level with Shola Ameobi on 298.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

19:52

Iraola makes four changes to the Bournemouth side that claimed a dramatic point against Leeds United at Elland Road last weekend. Scott comes in for his 50th Premier League appearance, while there are also recalls for Hill, Tavernier and Brooks. Christie, Kluivert, Jimenez and Adli drop to the bench alongside Cook, who returns after a shoulder injury.

Fulham, meanwhile, occupy 11th place, having collected eight points so far. Nevertheless, Marco Silva's side would move level on points with their hosts by prevailing here. History, though, suggests it will be a tough task for the Cottagers, who have lost each of their last three Premier League games at the Vitality Stadium.

AFC Bournemouth vs Fulham

19:36

Following a positive start to the season, in which they have collected 11 points from their opening six matches, Bournemouth will climb to second place with victory today. Since losing to reigning champions Liverpool on matchday one, Andoni Iraola's side have gone unbeaten in their subsequent five games.
