Noida: Woman seeking help to get husband out on bail gang-raped, advocate among accused

NOIDA: Four men, including an advocate, were booked for allegedly gang-raping a woman in Sector 2 of Noida, police said on Tuesday.

The woman had got in touch with the advocate in order to get bail granted to her husband.

According to the police, the incident took place in October and the case was filed at Ballabgarh (Haryana).

A senior officer said, "The case was transferred to us on Sunday. In the complaint, the woman had stated that she got in touch with a lawyer in order to get bail for her husband. The lawyer took her to his office in Sector 2 for documentation where three more people joined him and raped her."

"The accused have made a video of the act and threatened her to face the consequences if she reported the incident," he added.

Police said several teams were working on the case and arrest would be made soon.

(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
